Richard Weter is a first-time author with nearly three decades of experience as a police detective in the rugged Ozark Mountains of Southwest Missouri. His extensive law enforcement background provides a rich foundation for his storytelling, bringing authenticity and depth to his narratives.

 

In addition to his time in Missouri, Weter lived for several years in the southern wetlands of Louisiana- an experience that deeply informed his writing. Immersed in the unique culture and untamed landscapes of the region, he gained a profound understanding of both the people and the wildlife, some of which seem to dispense their own kind of justice.

 

Today, Richard resides on the edge of the Ozark Mountains in Southern Missouri, where he continues to draw inspiration from the land, and the lives he’s encountered throughout his career.
