"Fast paced mystery thriller"
Reviewed in the United States on September 18, 2024
Only a detective could write this book, and it was a former detective with 30 years in law enforcement who did write it. This 'who done it' mystery thriller has frequent twists and turns as the fast paced story progresses. A Federal agent who is an ex-Navy Seal is sent to New Orleans to investigate the case a missing unscrupulous Federal judge. Why was there no ransom demand? Who would benefit from the judge's demise if that were the case? Skeletons in the closet, or rather the bayou, create intrigue and lead to clues involving criminal activity. Richard Weter is a very good writer. The first page captured my attention and I couldn't put the book down as I read my way through the mystery.
